During the renovation work on the new Schilthorn cable car, various helicopter movements will take place between the Wurmegg take-off site and the landing site in
Stechelberg will take place. In order to ensure the safety of all aviation participants, the following rules apply with immediate effect (see map):
- Red zone = restricted zone for hang gliders GND/1900mAMSL. Valid from Monday to Saturday. No helicopter operation on Sunday. (Partial exception permit for pilots of Airtime Paragliding in contact with Air Glaciers, please do not fly after them!)
- Departures from Wurmegg compelling in the direction of Gimmelwald
- Starting tennis court closed!
- Starting Masten closed!
- New landing area from the beginning of April, see GCL website for exact date. If there are no cars parked, you may land there before.
- In order to compensate landowners appropriately, a take-off and landing fee will be charged from 2023. Prices and options can be found on the GCL website and on the notice board at the landing site.
The conversion of the lowest section is expected to last until the end of 2024. The above rules are valid until revoked by the Paragliding Club Lauterbrunnen Valley and must be adhered to.
